1984
Take 5 was founded as Rapid Oil Change. It offered quick oil changes, minor repairs and other maintenance services. Since then, it has seen expansion, faced disaster and become part of the community.
1996
Take 5 revolutionizes our business model to create the first stay-in-your-car oil change. The shops featured shallow pits, drive through oil changes, synchronized oil changes, and fast, friendly service.
2022
July: First VEA store opened in Springfield, MO.
2023
February: VEA's 5th store was opened in Derby, KS.
November: Our 10th store was opened in Columbia, MO.
2024
September: VEA's 15th store was opened in Columbia, MO.
2026
Omaha, NE and Hutchison, KS locations scheduled to open this fall.
